I tested the yahoo buzz and was happy to learn that users do not have to register for a new account if they already have a yahoo account.

I think this wonderful because a lot of surfers do at least have an account with yahoo say for example yahoo mail and can as a consequence use their account details to log in and submit to yahoo buzz

Thank you for this quick writeup on the YahooBuzz WP plugin.

I’ve already installed it.

Is it possible to move the Yahoo buzz button to the bottom right of a post?

Or to put it inline with the other bookmark buttons I have?

Sample page here:

Thank you.

I remember when Yahoo Buzz came out. I think they have received a high response and am glad that people can now buzz blog articles.

I have heard about Yahoo Buzz and I think for competitors to enter the Digg niche market at a time when Digg is already well estabished is not a good move. I don’t think that the buzz yahoo is creating will last long.

Hey,

I heard about this Yahoo!Buzz thing and how it’s going to be big. I hear they might give Digg a run for their money — I don’t know how much truth’s behind that.

But, I have to agree with Jason, the fact that it works through Yahoo!ID is awesome. No boring, signing in process to vote.

Another thing that’s interesting that I heard around the blogosphere is, if something gets “buzzed” enough it can make the front page of Yahoo!.

If that’s possible, my oh my — traffic galore. Anyway, thanks for sharing the plugin.

I’m going to Buzz this post — how about a review/case study on how much traffic its brung you?

Just a possible security warning about this plugin, my website was hijacked twice this past week by phishers. This had never happened before in the 10-year history of my site. The only changes to my site this week were installing this Yahoo Buzz plugin. I have since removed it.

I think it’s a good time for Yahoo to do Buzz. And what I’ve seen in these last few days, they are quite busy there.

It’s a good time to steal some users from Propeller, since lot of them dislike the changes it made with the looks and structure. I must say it really is awful and it lost it’s charm.

Thanks for the plugin, I will try it out.

It might take a little while for it to catch on

This definitely will take a while to catch on. Yahoo! can catch up with Digg, but as of, Digg is just way too big. However, because Digg did not go under Google, Yahoo!’s publicity and an already established userbase could help in making Buzz the better solution later on.

However, as of, I’m not too dazzled by this.

Well if it is new ways to market our sites, so viva Yahoo buzz. I don’t think it will be as great as digg. But you never know what to expect from Yahoo. They haven’t sold out yet and surely there are on a role!

It was a smart move to incorporate this feature onto their home pages. Yahoo seems to becoming less and less about search, and more and more about sorting the information to display it on their home pages. It will be interesting to see how their attempts at integrating social media will effect the web.
