Eric Schmidt is an opinion that applications like twitter could be potentially great channel for product information, marketing real time and it will be logical strategy that we would like to pursue. Eric though did not mention specifically twitter in the Google’s earning call, still was of positive opinion towards application like twitter.
Many of you might not know, but Google is on twitter with 433K followers, ofcourse 600K less than Ashton Kutcher.
It would not come as a surprise to me if Google-Twitter deal strikes very soon. But for that, Google needs to come out of thinking twitter as poor man’s email system, they commented about just a month back.
I am sure if Google pursues this deal, it would be no beneficial than acquiring one more social networking application, making all our lives Google centric. I am afraid, I would be boarding a Google flight or train tomorrow, which I as social networking way at times :). What you think about benefits of Google acquiring twitter?

Personally, I think that before anybody really talks about purchasing Twitter people should first figure out what it is and how it’ll make money. There’s a lot of chatter about it as this great new tool but frankly, I just don’t see it yet.
