I’m not planning to switch my blog to WP 2.5 for some time. There still might be some bugs and such… I think I will wait about two months until it is tested and stable and then I’ll give it a try ;)

I have mixed feelings about the update. I want some of the new features, but I know it never fails there are some bugs that need worked out. Update now, and update again later? Or just update later?

I think I will wait for 2.5 to go into STABLE mode before I use it. Like you, I don’t want to mess up my current WP blog. I still have loads to improve!

Ok folks. I have just swithed to Wordpress 2.5 (I know I said I would wait for few months but I couldn’t wait :D)… and it seems quite good. The switch from 2.3. to 2.5 was painless and fast.

I have now seen and help two people fix an irregularity in in WP2.5

When upgrading at least for some users it writes code or does something funky to installed themes. In one case a sidebar disappeared and the other case it was a footer.

It is a good idea if you are upgrading to 2.5 it is wise to keep a zipped copy of your theme locally and to switch to the default theme during the upgrade. Either way you should be protected

I’ve tried the wordpress 2.5, the design is quite impressive, I don’t know about the security, but most people said, it is improved largely compared to the previous version
