I just picked up my first Blackberry over the weekend. The symptoms listed above are true. I can see myself starting to do some of them. I do love this phone though and it is so convenient when I am not at my laptop.

I think similar things can be said about any sort of technology that we become overdependent on. I think the key would be to limit yourself as to when/where you check it and make sure it doesn’t become a sort of extension of yourself.

I think there are a lot worse things to be addicted to than your BlackBerry. It’s a communications tool that helps keep you connected and productive after all.

On the other hand if you’re trying to thumb out an email while driving down the road that’s probably not good thing. As with most things moderation is the key.

Well, if you use it the right way, there’s nothing wrong with it. Everything has limits, once abused, you’re doomed. :)
