Everybody learn from mistakes, and learning from mistakes makes a person smarter. Checking out other people’s experiences is no doubt a good method to avoid making the same mistake that many people has made.

Great article, but I think there is no better hosting than bravenet.com, they let you have 20 GB of bandwidth and 2 GB of space, for free.

Hello,

Big companies make big offers but have a lot of hidden things which are not told to customer before they purchase.

As I run a small web hosting company I have noticed that many times customer compare me with godaddy etc. But then i tell them that there will always be hidden catches with them. So its better that you stick with a local company of which you can visit office, call them etc. and best of which can provide you with personalized support and not some IVR and ticket based support.

Eventually it will cost less, will be more friendly and will work for you!

Thanks.

Great article, it really feeds my knowledge, now i learn something new with your article, i enjoy but in additional once and for all, now a days web hosting are very cheap, but we also need to choose the right one, because there are some web hosting company that will also sell your personal information which is not good. go daddy and also hostgator and strikedata is one the best hosting company i have experienced. this just an additional about hosting.

Moving to a web host can def be a pain. Every company basically offers the same stuff as said above…random numbers thrown at you. Make sure you don’t look at just the price tag because in this industry what you pay is what you will get.

Webhostinggeeks is actually pretty good. Another site I found that’s good is webhostingjury, which is like a whole bunch of people reviewing everything. it’s pretty good.

myself, i’m trying to build a site about which web hosts to stay away from. :)

Just make sure the hosting package has enough space and transfer. if not some sites let you upgrade to larger package free while others hit you with heavy fees and upgrades.

I see webhostinggeeks.com as number one in google for “web hosting”. Just curious how long does it take to get such rank?

Well, its good to see wide rangs of web hosting companies. One should be carefull while choosing because it always effect the targeted traffic.
Good discussion/reviews are always required to inform the client/webmaster to make a decision while choosing the hosting company.

Thanks, nice article.

A pretty good top 10 list, I would like to see some other web hosts that didn’t quite make the list though. Congratulations to their SEO, that site must pull in $150k a year for their keywords.
