Wordpress is just such a great tool. Whether your knowledge of working with webpages is fairly well rounded, or just plain doesn’t exist, it offers such an easy way to manage content that anyone can jump in.
My site really falls in the “less-bloglike” category as I would like it to be more of a portal, but it’s still the best option for me at this time, and I can’t imagine what I would move to down the road. Probably nothing is as flexible and I look forward to seeing what new functionality will appear in future versions.

Wordpress is by far the superior blogging plWordpress is simple to use, and very user friendly. They also have plug-ins and themes to make your blog fit anyones needs. I think you made a great choice making the switch.

I’ve just migrated from blogspot to Wordpress in Aug too!

My “opening ceremony” post can be found at: http://www.betshopboy.net/to-infinity-and-beyond/

You manually transferred your posts from blogger to wordpress? Wow, that’s a lot of work!

Luckily I manage to import all posts (with pics) and comments using the ‘import’ function. It was done in about 10-15mins.

Your “opening” post was too good, just visited and commented there.

Hi , Well Abhijeet I did not move away from Blogspot to wordpress . I was doing Blogspot way back in September last year till january this year.
I then made the above blog in April and started Blogging in June . I took a break in blogging because of the fact that I had my exams .
Well I must say that You have chosen Wordpress to Blog which is best decision and also you have chosen a good theme capable of providing you enough linkbacks and enough money by means of advertising as well.

Summing Up : Nice theme of the blog .

Thanks Ravi for stopping by. Yeah, this template is quite professional one and gives ample space on sidebars to accommodate paid links and various widgets.

I also wanted to accommodate the Top Commentators widget to give “DoFollow”. link backs to my regular commentators

Looks like blogger is losing a lot of customers. Hope your enjoying your new blog with wordpress, it sure as heck does look amazing!

I definitely prefer Wordpress against blogger. It is easier to manager, moreover wordpress have so many add-on available. That’s why I have my blog in wordpress.

Many bloggers are now migrating from Blogger to Wordpress because of the wealth of plugins and themes available to bloggers on the Wordpress platform. The links you enumerated will help make the migration much easier for a lot of people in the same predicament.

There are a lot more things that you can do with a wordpress blog compared to a Blogger. In addition to plugins, there are more wordpress than blogger templates. If you are serious about blogging, wordpress is the way to go.

Moving from one blogging platform to another is never an easy task. I have done this on a number of occasions and it’s almost always like having a tooth pulled without anesthesia. Your post makes it easier for people to undertake this task. I, for one, will refer to this post next time I need to do this, instead of just winging it. Muchas gracias!

What I like about wordress is there are lot of developers in Wordpress. There are lot of plugins and themes you can choose from. That makes wordpress better than blogger.

1435. Travel Blog said in November 14th, 2007

Blogger is just for newbies in blogging. Wordpress is for the pros.

8819. Ralph said in April 22nd, 2008

Every one will suggest to use wordpress, blogger might be easier to set up and all but you cannot customize as much as you would like to. We are also using wordpress on our blog.

8946. Mauritius said in April 24th, 2008

I think it’s time for me to move my personal blog from blogger to wordpress now.

9524. Ashish said in May 5th, 2008

For me wordpress is far better than blogger. The customization options and the way you can modify your blog is really great and these features you can’t find on blogger.

9692. Paintworkz Web Design said in May 8th, 2008

Wordpress is very user friendly and anyone can just try working on with ease.Another additional feature is the greater themes and pluggins that have been made available.

9789. aroengbinang said in May 10th, 2008

have already a mirror at wp, but have no plan yet to move in altogether to wp and leave blogger.
have to admmit that wp templates are cool though..

10013. Reverse Merger said in May 13th, 2008

Wordpress is so much better than blogger, aside from the fact that it’s more technical. Once you get used to it, the features, plugins, and overall customization options make it the blogging CMS of choice for me. I would still like to try some of the more robust CMS’s like Drupal and Joomla, but I haven’t had a chance to check them out yet.

10050. Mauritius said in May 14th, 2008

Ok am decided! Today itself am moving my blog from blogger to wordpress :)

10056. Gino J said in May 14th, 2008

Kinda the same story here. I started a blog on blogger, thinking that it’s just another great tool by google. BUT I’m very happy I found wordpress just a week later. It’s so much better.

10455. SEO Web Tips said in May 22nd, 2008

Well Wordpress is certainly more professional and it offers you much more space for customizing and such (hundreds of plugins…). There are almost limitless possibilities - Wordpress can be used as a blog platform, news website CMS, portfolio CMS and more!

13085. Mike Johnston said in June 21st, 2008

Wordpress is a great little platform. I would never use it as a CMS but for blogging, it can’t be beat.

15242. poor jokes said in July 8th, 2008
