There’s definitely some room for improvement. We just got buried with end-of-year stuff and haven’t had time to publish an update. But we should have some time to update it after the new year.

Would you share some of your criteria for marking comments as “nofollow”? A few of the previous comments on this thread are obvious spam. But what about the less obvious- do you mark as nofollow anyone who tries to use anchor text for their name?

I am about to transition my website from a traditional website into a blog. Any advice you can give on screening comments would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve never heard of this plugin, but might have to give it a look if I start getting a decent amount of comments on a regular basis.

Currently, if it smells like spam I just delete it as such and leave all other comments as DoFollow.
