Though September month has been the steady month like previous couple of months, it has a special significance. This month, I have crossed $20000 in online earnings this year. Check out the latest figure on Money Meter.
I know, it’s huge money if piled up together.I did not keep a track of the money though where all it went - except tax money, UK immigration expenses, stock market investment and gift for my wife. The way I am tracking the earnings, I think I should also track the spendings. Isn’t it a good idea for investor personality like me?
In August month’s earnings post, I had mentioned that Yahoo search marketing brought down the affiliate commission from $91 to $9.1 and this month they completely stopped it. That means no more revenue by offering YSM coupons. This is actually not very good, as it contributed $400-$500 at some moment to my monthly earnings and now it would be $0. But anyways, not a problem - did you see benefit of putting the eggs in different basket?
So here is the breakup for Sept month:
September 2008 earning breakup
- Private Sales like reviews, textlinks, banners: $809.56 [The flat rate earner matched advertising went on helping us to add up in our monthly revenues. If you have finance or health blogs, Matches has great opportunities for you to monetize some old pages of your blog]
- Google Adsense Revenue: $313.58 [It’s almost the same, no difference]
- CPC programs like YPN, Adbrite, Infolinks: $656.58 [Last month's drop is filled up with this month's huge jump. One check was missing and that is arrived now].
- Affiliate Sales, Misc checks: $291.76 [As mentioned above, YSM affiliate program with the Yahoo £50 Credit Voucher could not contribute much due to their policy changes, so lets see how this area performs over next few months.
Total Earnings of August 2008: $2071.48
Total Earning of 2008 [From 1st Jan 2008 to 30th Sep 2008]: $20,550.27 - Courtesy: Money meter
As I just mentioned in my post that I have immigrated to UK to see if I can settle down here and travel around Europe - this October month I might see little drop in revenue due to lot of things going on simultaneously in terms of my moving from one place to another and settling down. But still need to work harder, to achieve my goal of $25,000 earnings this year.
