Is it a scam? That’s the first question in my mind when I heard about Scour search engine which is claimed to be paying for searching online. And it’s obvious, everyone of us had faced this fact some or the other time in life.
Scour will pay you $25 Visa credit card as gift if you accumulate 6500 points, $50 for 12500 and $100 for 25000 points. Scour is delivering search results that are nothing but combination of major search engines, Google, Yahoo and MSN. In addition, you can give thumbs up and comment on any search results. This makes it kind of a social search engine network.
Though I had these thoughts that this might be a scam, it does not seem to be. I thought to give a try to Scour search engine. Why should you think positively to sign-up with Scour -
1. We don’t have anything to lose. We are just using scour to search but getting the results from our favorite search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN and fun commenting and recommending the search results.
2. We can research on how commenting and giving thumbs up contribute to certain results with Scour’s algorithm.
3. It has a great affiliate program that gives you 25% of what points your referrals earn, so you need not to do all the work.
4. We would get something to give away free to our readers - that would be the visa gift card that we might get from Scour. Or you can just simply keep it for your own use. I would think of giving it away to one of my lucky readers.

How to gain points in Scour?
- Signup with Scour and invite some friends for 250 points.
- Search on Scour, and get 1 point; 2 points for every vote and 3 points for each comment limiting it to 4 points for every search and related activities. So you might not go on voting each results of your search.
When would you be paid?
After accumulating 6500 points, but you know what - currently it seems no one is paid - even the topper in points tally has around 6100 points. But remember, in the game where referral layers are involved, it’s better to start off early in the game. Go ahead and sign up with them and start referring it to your friends.
Looks like I would soon come up with the post on how legitimate they are, as already have 100+ people in my referred list.

Until they start to pay people we will not know if its a scam or not.
