I think rather than looking if the commment count shot up the last 3 or 4 days of the month, rather look at the quality of the individual comments. Perhaps someone doesn’t read the blog daily, but reads it all at one time and comments on all of the articles and leaves well-thought and useful comments…should this not count just because they were all added at the same time?
