okay, that is very alarming. i guess seeing how the isp’s are gatekeepers, it makes me very nervous in terms of control and privacy. It makes me want to anonymize anything i do on the internet. but i guess i won’t be able to control what they push my way. that’s very disconcerting.

Yes indeed Paul. I complete in agreement with you. We don’t have any option other than changing to some ISP who does not do it, but what if all started doing it - who gonna stop it?

if Big Brother is watching we need to have BIGGER BROTHER..competition….even it’s only perceived

If everybody called Rogers and asked “When is my contract over….then explain they will leave if Rogers insists on this behaviour”…Ted Rodgers will do something…millions of lost subscribers is NOT good for the stockholders.

Canada has very different laws in the USA concerning things such as free speech. There are certain things that you cannot legally say in Canada. WORDS can get you thrown into jail there. I’m sure that Rogers will argue that net-neutrality will allow people to say these forbidden things and therefore they will be allowed to become gatekeepers. This is why the American First amendment is so important.

Hmm… Free speech and net neutrality.. Interesting… Btw.. There is some error popping each time I do something in this site (some sortta JS error)… Saying console is not defined(line 9, 15 etc…)… don’t know whether issue with my browser or the website.

I have seen many companies use the search results on own pages but never just add own ads or things to actual page. Must be some kind of frame they use. If it does not slow site down i guess it does not matter but i would like option to not have it also.

I never knew some words could get you in toruble in canada. Would i have to worry about this if i was thier and said one.
