June month have been good to me in terms of revenue like May month by crossing the magic figure of $2000. Things have been busy early this month due to my hospitalization and the blog anniversary contest promotion later. By the way, the contest is going pretty well, and we see many participants in the contest - I did not analyze the participation yet but we can see at least 120 odd comments as of now.
So what’s the feature of this June month earnings? I would talk about it but let’s have a quick glance at the revenue in June month.
June 2008 earning breakup.
- Private Sales like reviews, textlinks: $737.17 [Huge dip from last month. Simple reason is we did not give attention to promotion of Private sales]. *Addition of “matched” advertising helped us to spread the risk
- Google Adsense Revenue: $377.76 [Decrease in adsense revenue from last month, need to analyze the traffic]
- Other CPC programs like YPN, Adbrite, Kontera: $342.46 [downfall again in here since last month - looks like I can get rid of few of them and add some new CPC programs]
- Affiliate Sales, Misc checks: $591.50 [More than double than earlier month - and major reason is YSM affiliate program with the Yahoo £50 Credit Voucher contributing well by helping advertisers to get Free credit for Yahoo search marketing campaign]. We have even added a 120×600 banner on left sidebar for better access to potential advertisers who would like to grab this Yahoo £50 Credit Voucher and spend it on advertising.
Total Earnings of June 2008: $2048.89
This is less than what we have earned in past, but I am compromising a small dip in revenue looking at my long term goals. I would probably let it go slow for these couple of months and focus on upcoming Google PR update. I have few new blogs that I would need to get some PR and good traffic to start monetization :-).
Six Month Audit of Revenue:
Keeping our goal of making $25000 online this 2008, we are going steady rather faster than average needed. First 6 months have added $14209.70 to our Money Meter - leaving $10790.3 for remaining 6 months. Of course, it would not let me go slow but I would balance it with my new site promotion along with current revenue.
