I'm a sport enthusiast too, but more too soccer. About Beijing Olympics, of course the most waited event is the 100m finals :)

p.s: I enjoyed seeing Federer beaten by Nadal in French open and Wimbledon :)

I do not know much about American sports, and really don't have time to watch tv that much. But as you, I just finished the French Open and already looking forward to Wimbledon on the 23rd.

You write "in the days that blacks were denied equal rights". Things are still changing on that level. Especially in sports. It isn't long ago that Tiger Woods was the first black man on the golf course. And the Williams sisters on the tennis court. Now, we have Hamilton in F1.

It is (or should be) common knowlegde that black people are physically stronger than white and whenever they enter a sport, they take the game to the next level. And it will be harder and harder for whites to compete on that level.

I was seriously impressed by Monfils in the French Open. He made tennis into a whole new game. Actually, he made it worth to watch a Grand Slam again. It has gotten a little bit boring with all the finals between Nadal and Federer and always the same winner between them two.

Anyway, thanks for a refreshing post on a side topic. All the SEO, Blogging and trying to make money is eating me. A little break away from it isn't bad.
