Experts-Exchange website is sometimes a good stop for many technological solutions; specially for software programmers, testers, Infrastructure teams etc. It frustrated me many times when I googled for solution and reached ExpertsExchange just to know that it’s not accessible for free. Unfortunately the answers to the questions we search for are usually needed immediately, just because you cannot proceed further in your work. That’s why this quick solution to view those answers for free. For further use, I recommend you subscribing the ExpertsExchange website.

How to view ExpersExchange Solutions free

1. Install Firefox if you haven’t already .

2. Install User Agent Switcher addon.

3. In Firefox menu, go to Tools — Default User Agent — Search Robots. Select Googlebot 2.1. You may need to restart Firefox.

That’s it, due to this Firefox settings, expertsexchange site will assume that you are a Googlebot. And the answers aren’t blocked anymore. Just for your knowledge, most of the sites don’t block the content for Googlebot to maintain their search rankings in Google. Enjoy!

with these technique i can entring restircted area but for google bot. some admin didn’t setting their site properly.

Nice trick. I didn’t know about the User Agent Switcher plugin, I’ll definitely be installing that, sounds very cool.

Don’t think I’ll use it for ExpertsExchange though, I’m not a fan! I’d rather use StackOverflow instead, it’s a much better resource for coding and tech stuff.
