Nice symbol! It reminds me a bit of an inverted Euro symbol superimposed on an R, and it sure does do the trick! I’ll be certain to forward this information to all my Indian friends, and friends who have dealings with India.

It is unfortunate that India is always represented with Hindi everywhere. Why not be broadminded enough to position India as a multilingual country and give due credit to other Indian languages also? It is sad and disappointing to know that the Government is determined not to popularize even a single letter from other Indian Languages.

I agree with financial planner, that is too bad they don’t even take other languages into consideration. But thanks for the font! I was going to write about it and needed to be able to type it!

This is definitely the start of a much larger issue that has been addressed in the previous comment. I agree that there should also be other symbols included on the Indian keyboard, however it all depends on which Indian languages they decide on if not all…

Recently Indian Government released Indian rupee symbol so you need to use Indian Rupee symbol rather than just typing Rs whenever you need to mention Indian currency.
