The new Indian Rupee Symbol has been published and now ready to use. Everyone would soon want to use the new Indian Rupee Symbol and it’s easy to draw just like $ or £, however question is how to type the new Indian Rupee (INR) symbol on your computer? How to use the new Indian Rupee symbol and type it?
1. Download the above font Rupee_Foradian.ttf
2. Install the font. You can open the control panel, go to Fonts icon, and copy the font file into this folder. Or Right click the font file name and click Install.
3. Now open MS Word, and choose ‘Rupees’ font and type the grace accent key which is – `. It looks like in the picture here if you don’t get it.

Or simply try using ‘~’ key without using shift button.
At this moment, you can type it but if you would like to share this with someone, the next person will have to have the same font as well, so make sure you suggest them to download the new font and start using it enjoy!







Nice symbol! It reminds me a bit of an inverted Euro symbol superimposed on an R, and it sure does do the trick! I’ll be certain to forward this information to all my Indian friends, and friends who have dealings with India.
