How to Download and Watch High Definition (HD) YouTube Videos

YouTube has started showing High Definition videos, following the footsteps of dailymotion.com. If you would like to download some of the HD videos, KeepHD can help you doing that. What you would need to do is, just go to the KeepHD website, enter the URL of Youtube video and press the download button. KeepHD shall give you options to download the video in various formats like High Definition 720p quality, FLV format, MP4 format or even FLVs.

Or simpler way could be go to the Youtube video link and in the URL in address bar; change the Youtube URL by replacing the word Youtube with KeepHD and that’s it!

As far as i know you can download them using IDM too but i’m not positive if they remain in HD. Thanks for the link.

Another great solution that will work with much more than Youtube is the Firefow add-on called DownloadHelper. It takes video, audio and almost everything else.

I used to have a program that would allow me to do this. I want to download youtube video to MP3 format to view in windows media player. I want to be able to download video and audio from the video. Most programs I’ve tried have just downloaded audio. If anyone knows anything that may help it would be much appreciated.

I just heard about a service called Apple TV. It comes in as high def and you can access YouTube as well as any movie you want.

Bandwidth is really expensive down here in South Africa, and with a monthly cap of 3Gigabytes I can hardly afford to watch YouTube much, let alone in HD! The good news is that there are several new underseas cables in the offing, which will apparently drop prices by up to 90% within the coming months! I can not wait!

Go to YouTube, and click Upload. Name the video and all of that stuff. Then it will come to a part where you can choose to either Upload a video, or use Quick Capture.

Select Quick Capture which will connect to your webcam and you can record yourself right there. If you already have the video saved, instead of clicking Quick Capture, click on Upload, and find the video where you saved it to.

Make your account, then when your signed in, at the very top right theres words like your username, account, quicklist. Cursor over account and go down to My Videos. On the left is there are 2 buttons the bottom one says Upload a Video, click that.

You’re probly thinking how is this true there is music videos on there, Some are allowed because of copyright permissions by the owner and some are official.
