Couldn’t agree more. It is so much easier if you like what you are doing!

Great Home Improvement site indeed. It is obvious that they have put a lot of work and efforts into it. And that surely wouldn’t be possible without knowledge and interests in home improvements.

We need to be interested and like the topics that we want to blog about. I write about blogging, real estate and health because this is my interest and my work experience. I agree with you that blogging is easier if we blog something that we like.

Definalty blog or create a site about something that interests you. That way you will write interesting content that both search engines and readers will love. Great site on home improvement, could learn a lot from that.

I agree with blogging about what you enjoy and forget about trying to make $ with adsense. In the long run its better for your mental health. That home improve site looks like a monster to build!

I wonder what made you decide exploring that area of life. Well finding the right contractors is quite a pain and I’m sure if you really start a site dedicated to giving that info, it will be a definate hit.

If you have or know a real estate agent, they can usually give you a list of contractors they trust. If they pass along a name and you tell them they had a bad experience, most won’t give that name to anyone else ever again unless it’s somehow made right for you.

The advice to seek a real estate agent for a referral is great. These agents are usually pretty involved socially and they network with locals, and one may be your person…

Oh, and steer clear of using credit cards to pay for that home improvement. debt is bad ok ;)

Getting recomendations for contractors is so valuable. If you can manage to get recomendations from 2 different people, even better.
