Would you mind to receive free $199 credit in your Yahoo search marketing (YSM) account if you just deposit $30. I am damn sure no advertiser will mind it. Recently I came across few free YSM vouchers between $25 to $75 but then I thought why not to find something bigger and better.

$199 will be the highest YSM given credit, and I found out the link so whoever wants to take the benefit can take it and sign up for Yahoo! Search Marketing. If you want to opt for self-serve, you would get $199 toward clicks and Advertisers signing up for the Assisted Setup service will receive $199 off the $199 service charge.

Each account requires a nonrefundable $30 initial deposit and there is a minimum bid requirement of $0.10 per click-through. I will suggest to read the terms and conditions carefully before signing up but anyways it will be applicable to everyone; so you want to opt for it any ways, you can go ahead.

Right now, if you observe there are vouchers of $25 free credit for your Yahoo Search Marketing program if you join them with any other affiliate link which is seen on many websites or publisher websites. But here you would get $199 in free credits which is almost 8 times of the free money buddy. Nothing like this offer right! [Update: As mentioned, this offer is no longer valid]

I think Yahoo came to know about this trick and this $199 coupon is not working anymore [as per the message from some of my readers], but certainly the £60 is a DEAL, it’s almost like $120.

I have seen Yahoo offering this Free cash a number of times, and its a great chance to pick up some free advertising dollars when using their system. It’s not as good as Adwords by Google, but does come a close second, and definately worth a try.

Methinks Yahoo got enough interest going with their $199 coupon, so the pulled it and replaced it with the £60 offer. In spite of that, they seem to be getting even more people into their search marketing service. Now if they get it to perform as well as Adwords, that would be sweet!

I’d be careful with these free credit vouchers from YSM. I got one for $100 from GoDaddy two years ago, signed up, added my credit card, setup my ads with a daily maximum of $5. Well, I went on a cruise with my wife and I was away from the internet for 10 days, I was ok with the $5 per day for PPC but when I tried to my credit card on the cruise it was declined. It happend that Yahoo charged me over $1800 FOR ONE WEEKEND of clicks and I didn’t even get a single conversion nor could I find the hits in my server logs. To make a long story short, I had to file a chargeback with Bank of America (thank God for BOA) and block Yahoo from charging me further. When I contacted Yahoo, they did admit it was their error and ok’ed the charge reversal and offered me $100 in free PPC but I’d never use them or Google again.

They will come around again. The only thing I dislike about YSM is that you have to deposit matching funds and those seem to get used up before you can finish off the free credit.

Just to give some feedback – I tried this and I was actually quite impressed, I know yahoo doesn’t get nearly as much users as google, BUT, here is a big but, my click thru was double and something triple google adwords. Hmmmmm
