I got an email too and I didn’t like the idea. They don’t want to pay again. Too bad.

I did get the email as well, but wasn’t sorry for it. I did not see it working that well. But that could have been just me. It’s not for nothing that I’m the ‘Online Loser’.

So why are they doing it, do they have a big enough market share, did it not work for them. What was their reason if any.

I was not able to earn much thru their refferal program. And even the clicks on their adsense ads pay just peanuts these days.

Yes, I have heard this sad story…I think it will be a big change for most blogger as this has been big money source.

Hmmm, I didn’t receive the email yet. Anyway, I don’t think the average “Joe Blogger” is really going to be affected by this. The only ones who really make anything of things like that are people like John Chow and Shoemoney because newbie bloggers sign up with them either because it’s the only blog they know or because they think it may get them some attention. I know that even when I was running referral links pretty heavily that I didn’t get any sign-ups.

I didn’t earn much from the Google referral adsense so am not that much affected by this but i think for other serious bloggers this might affect them a lot :(

I wonder if the people who already have referrals that they are earning money from are going to get to keep this income stream or if the whole thing is going away not just the new referrals portion.

I’m not an adsense enthusiast, but this news certainly narrowing the sources of income in adsense. I don’t think it’ll effect much to the website if you have enough traffic to get the click the GA ads

Well, Thats sucks, we need referral to help boost up our earning, this decision is definitely a big hammer for us

Your right, google is a bit overprotective of this market!!!

This really sucks, it’s easy to boost money with referral rather than only adsense…

referrals didn’t really do much for me…perhaps my ignorance, but thats alright…moving on now….
