I was very excited when I visited Kennedy Space Center last weekend. I never probably had visited any such place in past, and never thought a lot about Space, Moon, Shuttles and all this stuff. May be it’s altogether different from what I do as routine. And that’s one of the reasons, I liked this visit much more than any other place. The plan was made all of a sudden, so as usual we almost reached at noon and at the end of day could not make it to check every spot or ride but whatever we could see, was amazing. We were lucky enough to see a space shuttle just ready to be launched. This is a photo we have taken far from 39A, the launch pad for Atlantis.

Back then, launch of Atlantis space shuttle was scheduled on Thursday 6th Dec 07 but due to some technical problem, they kept pushing the launch date everyday and it’s now today, that is 9th Dec 07. Atlantis’ scheduled launch on Thursday was delayed after two liquid hydrogen ECO sensors gave false readings and that’s found out just few hours before. And since then, there is some or other problem with it but hopefully it will be launched today and I would get a chance to see it [even though from far away] right in the blue sky.
