It’s little out of the way topic from current topics going on at this blog. But this is something useful for everyone of us who are staying in homes, eventually all of you :-). My interior designed had called me up lately to discuss about some renovation ideas and light effects to be added in my already done home interior and furniture.

We have done good furniture for all the rooms in home but the light effects are pending yet. As far as I understand him, the light effects matter a lot. That contribute to the look of your home in many good ways. He has suggested me few forms of lighting that I might consider implementing in my home. As I am very typical about interior at home, I got into details of what he was suggesting. I did not idea about the lighting effects he was suggesting initially but he directed me to check them out at littmanbros.com to get an idea of what he was talking about. I would walk you as well through some of them.

Under cabinet lighting is one of the lighting options he has suggested that would highlights the furniture and displays in our living room. Well, it looks beautiful. Because it’s not a direct light and add a nice look to already beautiful piece of furniture or display. That would mostly take care of the places near the floor.

Progress lighting would mainly take care of your roof and walls. You would not like to have all nice on furniture or cabinets but a dry wall or roof, right? These lighting effects are achieved by Chandeliers, flush mounts, wall sconces etc. You can imagine a pair of lights mounted on walls and light not directly falling on eyes but a soothing effect of light on walls and roof.

He is of opinion that we all take care of living room, kitchen and all but we forget vanity lighting in bathrooms most of the time. At least we would not like to happen. Most of my ideas of blogging come up while I sit in the bathroom, believe me! So how would I ignore this fact that better the light in bathroom, better the ideas :-). But jokes apart, I really love to have a plush bathroom. I already installed bath tubs and mane good accessories in there like big shower panel etc. To accompany it, I would prefer to have good lights as he suggested.

We are really dealing with improvement in our interior now and lighting being part of it now. I am glad that I could put some light on the things that any husband would need to look at while helping her wife to decorate the home, sweet home.

I would like to know your thoughts as well, how much attention or importance you give to the lighting in your home.

You know the telecom company, Vodafone right? But did you know how this company is related to pets?? Interesting isn’t it! Vodafone has started a series of commercials in India that features a pug pup. This might not seem interesting when you hear more interesting thing - the prices of these pug puppies soared to sky heights since then - the prices of pug puppies shot 5 to 10 times higher. Funny thing is, these pug puppies are renamed as “vodafone dog” or “vodafone pup” in India now.

I know they are cute, but they should not be priced so high, specially when your family demands to bring one in the home. Sounded like they want a pet at home, and that also the expensive pug pup. If you are spending that much money, then why not to bring a persian cat instead, and that was my question. As always we had a debate on it and I am in favor of Persian cats for whatever reason. I always loved them, but could not bring one before as they are pretty expensive when you go to buy one in pet market.

I like the thick fur coat, Persian cats have. They look different and cute. My family did not know much about these cats so I showed them all this information about these cats. What all is needed for Persian cats care, as that becomes a major concern while you think about having a pet at home.

As far as I read, if you have small kids at home, Persian cats are better pets because of their relax temperament. Probably that was one of the biggest plus point. But the problem with these cats is maintenance. You sometimes forget combing your hair, but you should brush their hair. Someone at your home has good time at hand, you should be alright with it.

Persian cats diet is also not very different than regular cat diet but requires little extra attention as they require more vitamins than normal cat. I would feel better to have one persian cat than a puppy, after paying such huge amount for a pet and when I like it. That’s my thinking though, but my family is still after the puppies - the Vodafone puppies. Difficult situation! I know I will bring my favorite cat though.

Hey guys, there are some important updates from my side, so you are aware of what’s going on in here.

Getting admitted in the hospital

I have a planned surgery on my leg this week [rather tomorrow] and I am getting admitted in hospital in some time. It’s a planned removal of a metal plate from my leg that I was gifted 4-5 yrs back in a road accident. Things have been normal since then, it’s just that I don’t want external element in the body parts so I am removing it in a planned operation. I would be hospitalized for 2-3 days, and it will be difficult for me to post on this blog during that time [I still gonna try to see if I can do that and I am sure I would manage to post couple of them]. But if you don’t see a post for 2-3 days, keep in mind I am busy somewhere. Wish I could get time last weekend to keep few posts in draft. Let’s see how it goes.
