CartoonBank For All The New Yorker Cartoons and Covers

How many of you are from New York? There must be quite a few. I have been in New York City for around a year and I have observed one thing that people living in New York are little different than rest of the US. I somehow like the magazine that are kind of dedicated to a city or region… for example: The New Yorker. When I read it first time, I was happy to read this magazine which is pretty almost 85 years old now. If I would have been in the States, I certainly would have subscribed it’s copy.

If you observe, all such magazine have a fan following for various reasons, I would probably be in the crowd for their cartoons and covers. Just to add in your general knowledge, there is a very big fan following for Cartoons of R K Laxman in The Times of India. And similarly, The New Yorker also has it’s cartoon books available at cartoonbank.com. These are collection of cartoons and covers. I read a good one, 101 Funny Things about Global Warming. That’s too good! If I write all of them here, I am sure it would make this post interesting but I might be stuck in the copyright law :-).

You should also check their collection of original artwork and cartoon pictures. These are simply collector items like The New Yorker stickers. You will have the new yorker covers in the form of original art. It might be a good investment in such cover art or cartoon pictures.

I remember our friend circle had gifted one small matted framed print to one of my friend who was mad after collecting new yorker covers. I am sure someone among you would also like to receive this gift. These covers or cartoon pictures if are framed, that would come out as great gift. It’s not decorating her office cabin and that reminds her our time spent together in NYC. What else you want when you gift someone. Just go search your favorite topic and search their huge inventory and you would be happy to find great stuff in there.

Somehow, I went into nostalgic mood today and right away brought this post up about what I liked. I would like to hear about your favorite magazines as well.
