Hello,

My name is Vered and I’m from Kontera.

Thanks for this post, I dropped by to
clarify this issue further.

We were thinking of a good way to reward our partners, and therefore a few days back Kontera launched its new “Invite a Friend” publisher promotion.

An “Invite a Friend” email is sent via Kontera’s Publisher Center and its subject line reads “You’ve been recommended to join Kontera’s network”. It constitutes no threat to the recipient, and we hope that all of our publishers will benefit from this new program.

To “Invite a Friend” simply login to Kontera’s Account at http://publishers.kontera.com/, select the “My Account Tab” and click on the “Invite a Friend” Link. Type in your friends’ email addresses and send away.

All the information is confidential and saved under your account information, and like you mentioned we will give the referring pubs a $25 bonus for each active Kontera publisher they bring on board (active publisher being- reaching 50,000 imps within 60 days of signup).

Thanks again for the post and being a Kontera publisher, I hope you’ll choose to invite some of your friends to join us :).

Please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions or comments about the “Invite a Friend” program or any other Kontera related issue.

There is no need to spam people as there are many other legitimate ways to recruit new members.

Sneaky little buggers. Always looking for a quick buck. Have you seen any problems with load time using Kontera’s service?

Vered, it is not you who is being cursed here. You are doing a good job by rewarding the publishers, but publishers are doing a wrong task by spamming people who are already publishers with you.

Vered, thanks for stopping by and writing about the Kontera network. We are not against you here certainly, but we would not like to see publishers spamming other publishers being greedy for those $25.

I wonder what’s the difference between referring friends by referral link and referral email. I really hate the websites where you can only invite friends by email, it’s not easy to do it legally. Wouldn’t it be easier to use a link?
