As I mentioned in the March earning blog post, it called it as passion than consistency that this blog is making above $2600 per month - rather I would round it to $2500 per month figure. The passion slowly is leading to consistency it seems. I would not like to keep myself under pressure all time to be consistent but I will try to be consistent as long as my passion to make money online helps.

Just to share with you, I was not even close to $1900 few days back and I had doubt in mind that I would be able to even cross $2200. I would have been fine with that too, as I enjoyed a lot this month traveling and taking time off for family and in birthday parties with friends. What?? Did you forget it was my birthday this month :).

So here is the April 2008 earning breakup.

• Private Sales like reviews, textlinks: $1109.46 [almost 25% increase in banners, textlinks and reviews from last month.]
• Google Adsense Revenue: $558.30 [decrease in adsense revenue, need to look into this]
• Other CPC programs like YPN, Adbrite, Kontera: $645.16 [quite a lot of downfall in here, but it’s acceptable here as one of the websites here is completely dependent on Google search’s behavior]
• Affiliate Sales, Misc checks: $334.37 [Almost 40% increase here due to increase in affiliate income through Yahoo £60 Credit Voucher that will help advertisers to get Free credit for Yahoo search marketing campaign]

Total Earnings of March 2008: $2647.29

So basically, this month there was balance among the categories and the revenue came to almost same levels as last month. You know what, I would be happy with $2000 as well, if it allows me to spend more time with my family. Seriously, it’s such a nice feeling to spend time with them over the weekends than sitting in front of laptop and working all day over the weekends. Don’t get surprised to see my earning going down next month if I take a break this month of May with my family again, hehe!

Coming back to what made difference this month, one of the reason of increase in paid reviews was the high quality finance niche blog we have developed and it started seeing traffic of 400-600 unique visitors everyday since it’s inception in this January 2008. It’s not only the traffic, but the finance blog has almost 650+ RSS / email subscribers that attracts any finance niche advertiser to post his finance service review in there and that’s only for $30 which is too good a deal to grab. This month, I would like to thank one of our sponsors, affiliate hijacker for keeping faith in us and giving us an opportunity to host their 468×60 banner for last 4 months. I hope they would like to continue with it. Even if I am missing many opportunities to rent that place to other advertisers at higher price, I would prefer to continue with “affiliate hijacker” and build a long term relationship than short term money gains elsewhere. That’s how I think!

Also, I would thank Richard at Net Covered for placing a banner for a month. I believe Richard received his expected returns from the advertisement for a month and he decided to develop the traffic on his own now. It’s completely understandable as he is upcoming webmaster and might not be having big advertising budget for now. He has been publishing some nice articles at his blog on wordpress themes, so go ahead and check that out. We are glad to be one of his favorite blogs around and hope he would like to come back to advertise on this blog sometime in future. I like his design skills, and specially liked his 125×125 banner he had placed on this blog last month.

So again, I am happy to cross $2500 consecutively for 3 months, and hoping to continue with it for coming months as well. I will keep on updating you about my traffic, blogging, seo and making money online tips to help you achieve these levels. By the way did you observe our money meter, we are approaching the magic figure of $10000 earning this year very fast. I am keeping a track of this earning figure and I keep on updating it every few days to motivate myself whenever I feel not to work. So it’s proved to be really good pill of motivation for me!
