I have added it to my blog, and I have joined the community. All I need to do is put the badge on my blog! :P

62. Chino Yray said in September 11th, 2007

I have a DoFollow in my wordpress but I use NoFollow on the outbound links in my content.

63. Chino Yray said in September 11th, 2007

hey again, for the contents, it’s already a habit for me everytime I link to a site. So the nofollow stays on the content of the page while the comment links remain no noFollow.

91. Blogging Secret said in September 18th, 2007

I do believe dofollow can let more people comments, but now a lot of bloggers join this dofollow system but their comments section just nofollow. Unethical bloggers just wanna make traffics from people commenting only, this make visitors to go away after they know about it.

117. Thomas Sinfield said in September 26th, 2007

I find it a great way to get participation on my blog.

122. Bape said in September 27th, 2007

Its ironic that many bloggers talk about this but then they actually use no follow.

170. Tomas said in October 2nd, 2007

I have some blogs already for some time, but I was just posting to them and grieving for the quite low traffic I got. Your post gave me a shake -helped in understanding the cause. I would certainly check up my sites again and hope to improve the situation soon.
Thank you for the advice where should I look.

668. jblu said in October 28th, 2007

I have just installed the dofollow plugin on my fairly new blog. Let’s see how it goes. Thanks for the article

673. bLuefRoGX said in October 28th, 2007

Excellent, I’m installing this plugin on mine ;)

686. learn networking said in October 28th, 2007

Very cool plugin, it’s a great way to stop those spammy comments.

I added this to my blog when I had one. Luckily Askiment caught most of the spam that came along with it. That plugin you mentioned would’ve been nice at the time, heh.

720. iwyrobi said in October 28th, 2007

what is nofollow anyway? i don’t understand it.

733. Life is Colourful said in October 29th, 2007

Thanks guys who have started using this plugin for joining the DoFollow community.

@ iwyrobi: NoFollow tells google that the link shall not be followed and you will not get benefit of PR of that page. To give benefit of my PRs on this website, I have made this blog “DoFollow”

747. Crystal Cash said in October 29th, 2007

I just made my blog dofollow too. Its worth it to give back to your readers :)

757. Watch Funny Videos said in October 30th, 2007

I’ll have to look into using that plugin. It’s a great idea! Thanks!

764. free image host said in October 30th, 2007

Thanks a lot for this article

844. Digitalframe said in November 2nd, 2007

Thanks for your Info, I even don’t know wordpress have “Nofollow” code in, I will install the plugin right away.

851. bangalore said in November 2nd, 2007

Interesting article. This is first time for me to hear about DoFollow plug-in. Great idea, I should try it on my new blog.

862. Sirius Lee said in November 2nd, 2007

Thanks for mentioning this. I’m raring to add this plugin to my own blogs to encourage comments. I hope I get the same results you’re having with it.

997. gamer said in November 6th, 2007

if you ask me everyone should add a dofollow in their wordpress blog.

1171. Money Maker said in November 10th, 2007

Thanks for the great post man

1216. Pop Psychotronics said in November 10th, 2007

There are three types of bloggers in the world: the ones that do follow, the ones that no follow, and the ones who claim to do follow but actually no follow, lol! I have great admiration for the first, respect for the second, and contempt for the third.

1300. Joedel said in November 12th, 2007

This is the best do-follow plugin I’ve ever encountered. I going to install this on my blog soon to encourage regular visitors.

1341. Articles Directory said in November 13th, 2007

I will add the dofollow plugin to my blog.

1392. Gather No Moss said in November 14th, 2007

I’ve just added DoFollow to my new blog, Gather No Moss. I’m also going to join the BumpZee community too! Thanks!

1683. bluefrogx said in November 21st, 2007

Its a nice concept, but it also leads to increased ’spam’ with comments like ‘Good Job’ or ‘Nice blog’ that are not actually relevant to the post, but are just there because the poster saw a ‘DoFollow’ badge on the blog and wanted a backlink.

I suppose you could call this a double edged sword, it’d definitely get your more comments, but also increase your moderation work.

2113. Bessie Johns said in December 1st, 2007

Thanks for the info. I’m new to this and just have 1 blog at this time and trying to make sense of all the info.

2465. Macnerdzcare said in December 9th, 2007

do follow on blogs attract a lot of people but you have to watch out for spammers.

3978. Electronic lighter business said in December 28th, 2007

I have added 4 dofollow to my blog.

4541. Roommtes said in January 5th, 2008

Good Idea I will also join the dofollow comunity congratulations!

4640. Monografia AC said in January 6th, 2008

I really do believe that nofollow will not be followed anymore. As people now can control relation between link juice and fidelity, blogger will reward their customary clients, content will be spread (wikipedia had decrease its participation numbers incredibly after nofollow adoption) and internet continues with its democratic and open character

4644. Dan Ross said in January 6th, 2008

Really like the concept so we are on board with it.

5672. Limousinenservice said in January 18th, 2008

I made my own blog with worldpress and put it on my homepage. And it is a DoFollow blog. If everybody would make his blog “nofollow” we wounld not need anymore blogs. Blogs live from there Backlinks and Content. In Germany we founded a NoNoFollow initiative. And know the most blogs are DoFollow again :-)

5741. PMI PMP said in January 19th, 2008

DoFollow or should I say Ifollow or Nonofollow is very important. If eyerybody would make his blog NoFollow like Limousinenservice said, a lot of blogs would be empty.

6180. Elliot said in January 27th, 2008

I believe that stimulates dofollow articles commenting on the blog. As for the spammers, it is necessary to carefully moderate your blog.

6198. italyanca said in January 28th, 2008

thanks for artcle.

6210. tezahurat said in January 29th, 2008

thanks,i’ll do it .

6211. news archive said in January 29th, 2008

So thanks for this article.
Can i use your article in my blog site ?

6335. Bharath Reddy said in February 3rd, 2008

The Concept of “DoFollow blogs” is really outstanding.. i guess it will be helpful for me and for the readers tooo

6379. Bharath Reddy said in February 5th, 2008

hieeeeeeeee

just saw yo mail…i just want to share this information with all my visitors so i would like to have this is my blog.. may i??

6388. SEOContest2008 said in February 6th, 2008

DoFollow also attracts a lot of repeat visitors and builds a loyal audience on a blog. The good thing is that the increased comments add free text to the pages, which is even better.

6843. Online tv said in February 27th, 2008

thank you for that kind of wonderful information

6855. Gadgets4nowt said in February 27th, 2008

Can you apply this to a Blogger blog?

6859. seocontest2008 said in February 27th, 2008

Its surprising how you can create a great community using this method. I have done it for a while & amazingly it works. Think of it as a way to thank your readers.

6899. Shankar said in March 1st, 2008

How do we do this in blogsome which uses wordpress theme?

6908. My Safe Car said in March 1st, 2008

I think dofollow will change the way google ranks pages. If it does, I think its great that the masses, particularly web publishers can force google to tweek their algorithm - empowering, no?

6983. Get Free Backlink said in March 5th, 2008

Forcing Google to change their algorithm ? Hmm, that will be the day :)

7013. iPhone said in March 7th, 2008

Sorry if this has been answered in one of the mass of earlier comments but does Blogger also have the DoFollow option?

7019. My Safe Car said in March 7th, 2008

Google does tweak their algorithm, to stay ahead of publishers who find creative ways to manipulate PR and monetize their websites without Google Adsense.

7026. My Safe Car said in March 8th, 2008

I’ve added 4 comments, but I’m still not getting that link-love yet? I thought it was 2 comments when that kicked in?

7050. arifin said in March 9th, 2008

Great post, let me follow you, hehe

7065. Arifin said in March 10th, 2008

sir, how to add dofollow tag on my blog? please respon!!!

7082. bape said in March 11th, 2008

I think it is a great plug in to offer dofollow for your readers. I have just added it to my blogs and I find it to be great.

7089. stdx said in March 12th, 2008

I have added 4 dofollow to my blog http://stydentam.ru

7107. Car Leasing said in March 13th, 2008

It’s nice of you to share this idea. I have a lot of blog sites that I can implement this with; but, uhm, most of them are from blogspots. Will this work?

7108. Car Leasing said in March 13th, 2008

Ooopps, I’ve read all the comments above and noticed that a lot of us have the same question on blogger/blogspot. Anyways, will still try this on; and thanks for the info, by the way.

7109. Michelle said in March 13th, 2008

Well I think people who have taken the time and effort to read the blog and add comments should have something in return. And you’re right.. it’s hard to do this in Blogspot, tsk tsk.. Got to find some ways…

7114. Car Lease said in March 14th, 2008

This is not working. Your blog site still has the nofollow attribute.

For those owning blogger/blogspot, here’s how to remove the nofollow attribute: http://blogger-tricks.blogspot.com/2007/05/improving-link-popularity-and-pagerank.html.
This applies only to the new blogger template.

7131. Link Building said in March 14th, 2008

yeah the do follow app is a good thing to get more people to make comments on your blog.

7181. Gadget said in March 17th, 2008

I use dofollow plugin for some of my blogs.

7320. Ecommerce templates said in March 24th, 2008

This is the best thing one can do, the nofollow is artificial, in my opinion, it does not reflect the true essence of the internet.

7361. Birmingham PC Repair said in March 25th, 2008

NoFollow is an absolute disaster.. personally i think this will do more harm than good for google. If a serach engine has made itself harder to be indexed by people will eventually move on to the next big best thing… yahoo made the mistake by charging its customers and google stepped up to the plate… so watch that search engine space

7384. Eric said in March 26th, 2008

I am dying for more comments on my blog, so I did it. I think the reason why many people keep the “no follow” is to avoid linking to bad sites. But for those who really want more comments, like me, who cares?

7460. tech blog said in March 28th, 2008

finally i got the plugin that gives do follow after certain number of comments. thanks for the info.

7525. risoknop said in March 29th, 2008

Yup. Dofollow blogs tend to be commented more frequently. People like to be rewarded for their comments with free backlinks :)
The same goes for forums. Just look at the DP. It’s huge. There are more reasons for that but one is also that it’s dofollow. People are encouraged to post cause they are getting strong backlinks from very pupular site :)

7675. Patty said in April 2nd, 2008

How come some of these links in the comments have nofollow while others don’t?

7896. Harry said in April 6th, 2008

This is good. even my blog follows comment links.

8034. Nugroho Adi Pratama said in April 8th, 2008

mine is dofollow; i think it is more fair for people to receive backlinks for their effort on a good and developing comment.

8389. Puneet said in April 15th, 2008

Its a good one ,… m using it on 2 of my blogs as i dont wanna get into more spam comments moderation :p
Good post ;)

8391. Rani Dababneh said in April 15th, 2008

8887. Mauritius said in April 23rd, 2008

I’ve heard lot’s of good things about dofollow in blogs and i think am going to install the plugin to my blogs. Thanks!

8983. Car news and Advice said in April 24th, 2008

Adding “dofollow tag” is a good idea, as long as you get to trust your Blog readers and commentators, and you are sure they aren’t just trying to spam your Blog.

9115. Promopotter said in April 27th, 2008

I’m using blogger, is it easy to switch to DoFollow?

9121. Danny Cooper said in April 27th, 2008

I will be adding the two plugins you mentioned to my blog, I think its a great way to promote discussion and give link love at the same time.

9203. Wonderabby said in April 28th, 2008

I am exactly along the same wavelength as you are. I have a recent post on the dofollow movement, and making your blog dofollow. I support you!

Check out the post at my viral marketing blog at Wonderabby. Feel free to comment back. Thanks very much.

9231. Hussein said in April 29th, 2008

Maybe I must also turn my blog now into dofollow to make my commentators comment more and to give credits to them.

9260. Greg Brave said in April 30th, 2008

You know, I also thought of doing this on my blog, but first thing is that I don’t have enough traffic and second thing is - I am not sure that if I put this plugin, that people will comment because they like my content.
What do you think?

9266. Macular Degeneration said in April 30th, 2008

I have it on my blog, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

It’s great to see the comments that people leave, even if it is for their link building.

9267. Newfoundland Business Directory said in April 30th, 2008

It’s a great way to build traffic. I attract alot more visitors to my site now that I’ve enabled this feature. Hopefully people do read not just post comments.

9397. Descartes said in May 2nd, 2008

I have a few blogs now and I have removed the nofollow tags from all of them. Not sure if really makes much difference yet, but I am hoping for the best.

9529. Yan said in May 5th, 2008

As bluefrogx said, “It’s a double edge sword”. I could agree more with that but then I believe the pros will outweigh the cons.

Activating ‘dofollow’ will the door open to spam comments. On the other hand, it encourage more readers’ participation.

IMO, it is more useful to a new blog since it has less spam-attack and offers more incentives for readers to comment.

9536. Life is Colourful said in May 5th, 2008

Yan, true it’s very useful for new blog to establish quickly. Thanks everyone for pouring in your comments.

9563. Paton said in May 6th, 2008

Dofollow is indeed very use full for new publisher like me. and such articles on dofollow are most useful

9655. Otomobil said in May 7th, 2008

do follow on blogs attract a lot of people but you have to watch out for spammers.

9687. Paintworkz Web Design said in May 8th, 2008

Well this is a great idea to have all the regular commentators being rewarded and the spammers noted on. This gives a great feel for revisiting the blogs. And thanks for putting up this great article.
Regards

9719. marketinglearning said in May 9th, 2008

Great idea! It’s very helpful for me and I will add it to my blog too. By the way, how to find more dofollow blogs?
