You know what, you got some useful points there. I will start implementing some of those especially the “Book Mark” and “Recommend this post or blog to a Friend”

The steps are very easy to follow. Just another great post from you.

I couldn’t agree more! BTW I have this site bookmarked.

@ Kay, I am glad that you could find some useful points in here.

@ Hussein, thanks for the appreciation.

@ Paul, thanks for bookmarking us buddy. Hope to see you here often.

I loved this one. I am translating it into spanish so my blog readers enjoy it. If you don’t mind of course!

Actually, most of the tips are well common among people who read all this “business on the web” content. But I really liked the very first tip. I will start using it right away. I think that when people know that, for example they can expect an interesting post from you every day (or every Friday) will really encourage them to visit your blog or read your RSS.

These are things that are implemented in many sites, but you would be surprised to learn the number of people that don’t use these little tips. Building traffic is about hard work and dedication, as well as being consistent with your updates.

Doing business on the web is definitely about getting traffic to your site. Great tips, I will use them now and enable those features in my CMS.

9270. Life is Colourful said in April 30th, 2008

Thanks for the comments Newfoundland and Machular, but do you know that you both commentators are one person and commenting from the same IP, same person promoting to different websites :) – I am allowing you right now because you are not spamming my blog with hopeless comments at least.

@ Puneet, I would give some examples on the 6th point in a coming post in near future, makes sense to me.
@ gtd, while translating the post and publishing on your blog – should you link back to this post, I don’t have any issues
@ greg, being regular really really helps, and my experience is talking this :)

Hi,

Great post. I’ve been busy for last few days so I kinda cannot post so frequently… once the final exams are over I must start posting according to some regular schedule.

Very helpful tips. But I just wish I could have some traffic for the first step.

Nice tips
But at present I am trying to do the first one properly.

9393. Chetan said in May 2nd, 2008

Some good tips given in here :)
Could not go against any point, so just appreciating!

9402. Life is Colourful said in May 2nd, 2008

@ Net Covered, you would certainly I know, and I would be regularly reading you too
@ Eric, you keep on pouring the content, and traffic will automatically come. I would also give some ideas on increasing traffic here
@ degree dropout, certainly that’s the base of all the tips below
@ Chetan, may be you can add some more from your side

Hello

My content’s good, but I tend to throw a complete boo-boo when it comes to promoting the blog and getting traffic. Like someone else mentioned, I think a lot of us know what we could be doing to up our exposure, but we don’t do it.

I tend to post inconsistently on my blog for a number of reasons, however, now that Blogger has a post-schedule facility, that should make things easier.

take care…and thanks for the tips.

Well all the things are okay, but where to start. There is content but how to drive traffic. Social networks are good in sending traffic but that traffic don’t last long.
How one can get the traffic increasing?

Don’t forget to mention in a post, what you are going topost about next time. Or what visitors can expect in the near future. (You do have to keep your promises though!)
Or create a continuing story, that visitors will come back for to read.

be unique in terms of theme design and writing styles. Then people will come for more :)

Content is the king. Keyword take role but if reader find that the blog is not interesting, they will never come back again.

I cannot over-emphasize correct spelling and grammar! There is no bigger turn-off to or damage to one’s credibility than not being able to spell!

Hi,
I do totally agree with these ways and I suggest others to follow such ways to get traffic on their blogs.
